The Gran Canaria Wind and Waves Festival, which takes place this year from July 14 to 22, has become a multidisciplinary event, a benchmark for sports events that are held every summer on the island. For eight consecutive days, windsurfing lovers will return to focus on what happens in Pozo Izquierdo, the cradle of champions and favorite destination of the best windsurfers in the world who arrive on the island a month before the event to train and try new maneuvers with which to surprise the public and followers of this competition. Not in vain, Pozo Izquierdo is a beach that offers its visitors some of the best conditions on the planet for the practice of this competition, such as gusts of wind that exceed 60 knots of speed (more than 110 km / h) and waves of three meters, making the appointment in Gran Canaria in the most extreme of how many make up the PWA calendar.
The test can be followed all over the world through live broadcasts by the Live Streaming service that will offer an average of 8 hours a day of broadcast and will reach more than 180,000 digital viewers.
